This comedian,an outspoken atheist, is very good at publicising how charitable he is while at the same time trying to belittle the act of prayer. The people in the above tweet sent their prayers, told people to donate to the redcross and most probably gave money too. Except they didnt feel the need to say how good they were for giving money. Prayer is not asking some grand magician to preform tricks for us, at our beck and call. What intelligent person would believe in such a God. Think of prayer as working, not in such a black and white mannor, but in subtler ways. Just like life, prayer has many levels and many layers. If you want to understand what prayer is, then quiet your mind full of already formed ideas by meditaiting and understand what prayer is first hand..or read books by intelligent authors then you will start to get a small understanding. If you are in no way inclined to listen to what prayer actually is.
